house in Tominohara

concept
The site is located at the border between residential and cultivated land. In recent years, a lot of houses are built in this area, and a new town spreads out. In such an environment, we designed to ensure privacy and capture light and wind from the outside.
There are gable buildings parallel to the south and north, with a courtyard between them. The two buildings are connected by a corridor. The building on the south side is a single-story building, reducing height and bringing sunlight to the first floor of the north wing.
The exterior is designed so that the roof of the gable of the south ridge and the north ridge continues in a row. By dividing the building into two buildings, the volume is divided and the surrounding environment is taken into consideration.
