house in Kodaicho

The site has a gentle slope on the front road and there is a level difference of 1.5 m maximum with the ground surface. We did not set up retaining walls and designed to make the difference in level as it is.

From the road and neighboring neighbor, we can not see the interior. It is surrounded by a metal plate fence.

Entrance ... There is a shoe closet on the left.

We examined the interior space with change. In the center of the house I designed a hall leading to each room. The hall enters from the entrance and can reach each room through it. The hall is changing the atmosphere and other spaces. It is a design different from other spaces, such as gray pillar painted walls and ceilings, lighting from the top lights. Therefore, when you move to each room, you feel a change in space. I think that the change creates a feeling of depth inside the house.

The window of the living room is surrounded by the 2 m courtyard fence and can spend without worrying about the gaze from the front road. The slit window at the top of the kitchen avoids looking at the window next door, from which only the mountains can be seen. While taking in the light and the wind effectively, it makes it a space that can calm down. The finish of the ceiling is a plywood board both indoors and outdoors. The ceiling in the room is connected to the ceiling of the outside as it is, and I feel the spread in the space.

Living, dining and kitchen are one space.Among them, the kitchen has a stronger sense of furniture that continues from the sofa and the dining table than the place meaning. It has a mortar-coated kitchen different from the wall and other finishes.

You can exit the living room window to the decked garden. The garden is surrounded by a fence 2 meters high, privacy is being kept. The deck is continuous in front and back. The front deck surrounds the garden in L shape. Going to the back leads you to the doorstep of the washroom undressing room. There is a flow line that moves around in the house through the deck.

The site has a level difference of 1.5 m maximum with the ground surface. We did not set up retaining walls and designed to make the difference in level as it is. It is designed to spread a large crushed stone on the face. The step between the ground surface and the road is solved. There is a high wall in front of the left hand.Behind it there are clothes, bathroom window hidden. The window of the right private room is in an elevated position, so you can not see from the neighbor's house or the road, each privacy is being protected.

The dining table was designed with black iron skin for the legs and wooden top plate.

Wash basin · · · A pottery wash basin is placed on the top plate of the mortar crust holder.

Bedroom ... There is a closet near the center of the room that you can enter from both directions. You can see a box of different atmosphere in the bedroom.

Hall night view · · · We have a niche on the wall of the hall. It decorates pictures and figures.
In the evening, blue light falls from the top light.

concept

The exterior is a shape with a flat roof hanging. Because the eaves are so deep, the horizontal line is emphasized design.
I examined the interior space with a change under the flat roof. In the center of the house I designed a hall leading to each room. The hall enters from the entrance and can reach each room through it. The hall is changing the atmosphere and other spaces. It is a different design from other spaces, such as dark gray leftist painted walls and ceilings, lighting from the top lights. Therefore, when you move to each room, there is a change of feeling once you enter a different space. I feel a change when moving space. I think that the change creates a feeling of depth inside the house.
